paak. is a monetization platform for content creators made by content creators. Our mission is to empower content creators to monetize their content, enabling them to create more. We do the tech-heavy lifting, providing content creators with tools, best practices, and analytical insights. Our platform will give you the tools to develop your content further and keep improving performance so that creating content will be rewarded.
What would you do as Sr Backend Engineer?
As the first hire in the engineering team, you will have the chance to closely work with the founding team to execute on the vision of paak. This will be a key hire in the company and shape a great technical foundation for paak.
Your main responsibilities in the role.
- Designing and implementing APIs and core services
- Developing models and business logic
- Building out newly enabled product features
- Ensure the quality of the features you built, follow-up on usage/issues post-release.
- Collaborate with the product team, designers, and other engineers
- Develop systems with fast iterations to identify strong wins with a scrappy mindset.
Required Qualifications we look for.
- Strong programming skills and CS fundamentals combined with 5+ years of experience building products.
- Deep architecture and API design skills to build core services and new product features
- Strong sense of ownership demonstrated through shipping production-quality code equipped with testing, monitoring, and documentation.
- Passion for solving problems and learning new tools and technologies
- Excellent communication skills working with stakeholders and domain experts across the company to design solutions to user problems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a good life-work balance
- Customer obsessed. You have to be empathetic to user and create great experiences in the product.

We are looking for a YouTube content creator to be part of our team part-time, so you can dedicate the rest of your time to your own YouTube. We will share our tools and equipment with you so you can also use them for your own channel under a "please don't break it" kinda deal
